This
is a photograph of the entry and exit gunshot wounds to the head as described
by the autopsy report on the victim. The autopsy was conducted early in the
afternoon on the day the victim’s body was discovered.
The autopsy described the victim as in generally good health
for her age except for lupus disease. The gunshot wounds to the victim’s head
were described graphically in the autopsy report as shown in this photograph of
that page.
The wound that exited the victim’s right eye, upper left,
was described as shot . The entry wound for that shot is shown on the bottom
right and described as approximately two inches below the left ear, which would
have been at a slightly upward angle. The entry wound for shot 2 was described
as 5/8 inch in diameter, and the exit wound was described as 1 ¼ inch in
diameter. The right lens of the victim’s glasses was shattered by this bullet
and the glass shards blown-out. The frame holding that lens did not seem to be
damaged.
The entry wound for what is described as shot 1, upper
right, was described as being 62 inches from the bottom of the body, 1 ½ inch
from the midline and ¼ inch in diameter. The exit wound for shot 2, lower left,
was described as 61 ½ inches from the bottom of the body, 5 inches from the
midline and 1 5/8 inches in diameter, a slightly downward angle.
